I am a freelance journalist based in Brooklyn, NY. I am also the writer-collaborator behind Cheap Old Houses, a visual love letter to historic homes out fall 2023 from Clarkson Potter.
I often write about design, lifestyle trends, and the illimitable wonders of parenting a child with a rare neurogenetic condition.
I’ve written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TODAY Show, New York Post, Boston Globe, USA Today and assorted lifestyle magazines. In 2021, I won two NAREE newspaper journalism awards for my work.
I’m a 2021 Pushcart Prize nominee for an essay I wrote about my son’s rainbow DNA, which originally appeared in Blood Orange Review.
I am a recipient of the Parent-Writer Author Fellowship from The Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing for 2020 and 2021.
I am the creator of The Spaces That Shape Us, an ongoing visual catalog about the spaces that shape our lives and the stories we tell about them.
